I started doing pull ups in the Army about 10 years ago. It is very hard to pull up my own weight. I can usually do about two pull ups before I give up. It is just really hard. Once I left the Army, I decided to get my own pull up bar and try again. I have one of the pull up bars that you hang up in your doorway. I really like it. I can do around 5 pull ups now before I start getting tired. Yeah, its not much but I can feel it in my abs when I do them so I am excited about it.

I have heard of pull up assistance bands before but I never really thought about using them. I decided to check them out the other day and purchased one from a review site that I am on. I received the Pull Up Assist Band by BodyBudd in a couple of days and couldn't wait to try it out.

It has an adjustable metal clip that I can use to adjust the length of the assist band. There is also a buckle with a loop that you can connect to your pull up bar securely. This product comes with three assistance bands which you can remove at any time if you want less help with your pull ups. At the bottom, there is a strap where you put both feet in. You can do the pull ups with one or both feet in the strap. The strap on the bottom is not adjustable.
This assist band also came with its own carrying case. I really like that because when I am not using the band, I can just put it away. I really don't want a assistance band hanging in the middle of my doorway when I am not using it. The bag is a drawstring one and it even has the companies logo on it. I have a couple of drawstring bags with my stuff in it and it is sometimes frustrating having to go and find what I am looking for. With this bag, I will know exactly where my assistance band is.

Once I had it set up, I was really excited to try it. I tested it out with only one foot in the loop. It went great. I can do 30 pullups easily. Next, I tried it out with both feet in the loop. It was even easier. I probably won't do two feet in the loop anymore because I think it is a little too easy using it that way. I might not be getting all the benefits of doing pull ups that way. I removed one of the assistance bands next. It is simple to do, pull up the top of the assistance band so you can remove it through the slot and then remove the top part. Repeat the same steps on the bottom. I really liked doing my pull ups with one assistance band off because I can feel the burn when I am doing them.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. I am super glad that I bought this Pull Up Assist Band by BodyBudd. My brother tried it out and he was loving it. Ever since I showed him my assist band, he was been working out with them constantly. I barely get a chance to use them now! I have already recommended this band to my family and friends. Now I am recommending it to my followers and everyone out there. This band is super great and works really well. You won't be disappointed in purchasing these from BodyBudd.
